CAUTION! GOING TO RELAX
Reasonable forethought and caution on vacation have not bothered anyone. Praemonitus praemunitus, the ancients would have noticed and would have been right: “forewarned – means armed.” After all, you don’t want the sweet and long-awaited vacation to turn into unpleasant consequences, about which – and so is our memory – you will remember the rest of your life ?! Let’s go through the list of possible dangers that await the traveler on the way to tourist happiness.
It all starts with the fact that you can be tricked into trite. You come to a travel agency, choose a hotel for a long and painful period, pay for the tour, after which no one escorts you, documents are not handed out, and a smiling girl from Vanka Travel company who is completely unknown to you works at the place of the manager who sold the ticket to the Pupkin-tour agency “
Unfortunately, scammers are also found in the travel industry, as, indeed, in any other business. It is not so difficult to go around the traps set by the imaginary escort, it would be a head, and on the shoulders, and not in a beach bag. To do this, it’s enough to do the same thing that you do when you buy this or that expensive thing, such as a video camera. You must agree to buy something technical: a) you go to a well-known store or shopping center (to the website) and b) you try not to get the first one you get, but a well-known brand.
In order not to run into a serene agency that sells a tour of an unscrupulous operator, check what kind of operator the company offers you and what kind of tour operator it is, whether it is included in the register of Rostourism, how many years it has been working on the market, how it responds customers. It will not be superfluous to inspect the office of the agency with a look. Do not forget that not all of the gold that glitters, and that free cheese is found only in the mousetrap, and the huge discounts that attract unsuspecting tourists very often turn into a pyramid collapse – but not in Egypt (which, I want to believe, will soon be back will be available to Russians), and at home, with subsequent prosecutors, OBEPs and testimonies.
“They didn’t give us a visa!”
Spain and Italy, Germany and France, Estonia and Finland are not visible on your home travel map due to the abundance of flags, and your passport is “all in Schengen,” but the next consulate is oh, horror! – denies your visa, returning the honored “friend of the traveler” with some kind of blue seal, which leaves no doubt: you are not allowed into Schengen. At the same time, the agency cannot tell you anything plainly, since the consulate, according to all conventions, has the right not to explain the reasons for refusal. Mind, as you might imagine, not only Russia is not understood …
The reason for the refusal may be:
– incorrectly completed application form;
– doubts about the migratory intentions of tourists;
– insufficient confirmation of the solvency of the guests;
– visa problems that arose during previous trips;
– violations in the work of the tour operator.
In 90% of cases, the refusal occurs due to incorrectly executed documents, and therefore, first of all, check the correctness of filling out the questionnaire and certificate from the place of work or study. If you are not able to figure out where to put a comma on your own, ask for help at a travel company. As a rule, all major tour operators have visa departments that actively cooperate with consular services. Already at the stage of receiving applications, employees of these departments carefully study the submitted documents and either reject them or, with your consent, make changes or additions.
However, the features of the work of visa services are such that if the consulate suspected a particular operator that the documents submitted for a visa, relatively speaking, are untrue (for example, the operator encloses a fake invitation or reservation for a tourist from the hotel), he is deprived of accreditation , and all passports submitted to the consulate are denied. There is no reception against such scrap, but in any case, do not despair. If you have not committed anything reprehensible in the Schengen area, then they will definitely sort it out at the consulate – it may not be right away, but you will definitely leave for Europe.
There is nothing easier than to forget documents at home in the heat of suitcase making. And although electronic tickets have slightly alleviated the fate of scattered passengers, if you forget your passport, then nothing will help. Our advice to you: in the evening, put your passport in the “main suitcase” and don’t even get on the way to the airport.
Losing baggage is an eternal problem. There is no airline in the world that does not lose the suitcases of its customers. As a rule, this happens on connecting flights, especially in a situation where the connecting time between one and the other flights does not exceed one or two hours.
