REST IN CRIMEA PROSPECTS AND REALITY
Even on long winter evenings, many begin to think about the question: “Where to spend a vacation?” In connection with certain events, at the moment the choice of countries has become less and not due to the closeness of these countries, but with the financial capabilities of Russians. Favorite, most of our citizens, Turkey and Egypt, have become somewhat more expensive. But you want the sea and the sun! So what decision to make, where to go?
If rest in foreign resorts today is too costly for you, it remains to see something in Russia and countries where you can relax for rubles, such as Abkhazia. But since Crimea is on the agenda today, and even in the same Abkhazia there is practically no tourist service, we will talk about Crimea.
After the annexation of Crimea to Russia, the country faced the issue of employment of the population of the peninsula. And since a lot of people living in Crimea depend on vacationers financially, the issue of development and restoration of the tourism industry has become an agenda, especially since there is everything for this. Unfortunately, during the stay in Ukraine, the tourism industry did not develop in the territory of Crimea, and the capacities remaining after the collapse of the USSR continued to be used. Russia needs to resolve two issues at once, political – so that the population living on the peninsula knows that the choice was right, and economic – Crimea should not be subsidized, and it is even better to bring revenue to the country’s budget.
What has changed since Crimea was part of Russia and what else needs to change so that people would love to go on vacation to this beautiful corner of our country. Consider all the pros and cons. Where does the rest begin? Of course, from the road .. The road to the Crimea was a headache for those seeking rest there. Of course, if you fly there by plane, there were no problems. Airfare was reasonable, that’s a plus. Another plus, a single train ticket – ferry – bus, which allows the advantage of ferry crossings and can relatively quickly and comfortably get to the place of rest and back. But a large number of citizens of our vast Motherland wanted to be independent in terms of movement across the peninsula, so they went on vacation in their own transport. And here one and a big minus formed, daily traffic jams on the ferry. In 2015, they are trying to mitigate this problem, several large ferries were added at the crossing, the crossing itself was transferred under the control of the Crimean government, which was vitally interested in its smooth operation. But no one can cancel the storm at sea, so the problem of crossing is not completely resolved. In the future, hope for a multifunctional bridge that will solve all the problems of the road.
Second, where to relax? The state has already invested a lot of money in the infrastructure of the Crimea, in a short time, the Artek children’s camp was practically re-built, for many people who had vacationed before in Crimea, they have their favorite vacation spots, good in their opinion, is a plus. But Turkey and Egypt accustomed some of our fellow citizens to the all-inclusive function, which is still not found in the Crimea, in the very concept that exists in the countries mentioned above. And this means that a large percentage of lovers of comfortable rest remains unsatisfied in their expectations, and this is a minus. Another minus: the thinking of the Crimean people employed in the tourism industry. You need to understand that the more people who want to relax in the Crimea, the greater the income of everyone involved in this industry, and this is achieved only by excellent service. What do we have now? The holiday season has just begun, and tourists are already complaining about the dirt on many beaches of Crimea. Of course, the local authorities were given a week to clean the garbage, it is quite possible they will clean it, at the moment this may be the way out, but for the tourists to go, the beaches should be clean and this should be an axiom for the local authorities.
In the end, you chose a vacation spot for yourself, after reading reviews on the Internet or on the advice of friends, bought a ticket or went on your own, got to the place and beach where you swim and sunbathe, clean, everything is fine, you can relax and see the sights. But there is something to see in Crimea, only in Sevastopol can you spend two weeks on exploring all more or less interesting places, this is a plus that will make you come back again to see what was not inspected the last time. It is worth noting that it is especially important for those who travel by car, from June 17 in the Crimea a new administrative code comes into force, which in particular provides fines for garbage thrown out of a car window, including cigarette butts, which is also a plus although some may not like it.
Another plus of the Crimea is the expanse for outdoor enthusiasts. At the moment, unfortunately, this is not such a large percentage of the total number of tourists and not large budget revenues, but if you are fond of hiking or cycling, in Crimea there is where to turn around. A plus of the peninsula is also considered a wonderful climate, which contributes to the health of vacationers.
